Thank God I Listened

Everyone who knows me will tell you, I always have my yeti cup full of water, wherever I go. At night, I like to have it on my nightstand, so when I wake up in the middle of the night, I have ice cold water to drink. Now this was my first yeti cup and I did not have the lid on top that closes. At this time, my husband and I were renting a condo in the Village and it was known for water bugs. Now you can guess where I’m going with this, but hang on and let me finish the story. So, the Lord woke me up around 3:00 am to go pray. As I got up to go in the living room, I grabbed my yeti cup and as I was walking, I started to take a drink and I heard the Holy Spirit say, “there’s a bug in your drink!” I lowered my cup and went to the kitchen sink and took the lid off and there was a gnat floating in my water. I thanked the Holy Spirit and went on about my business. I was thrilled to know, that he cared enough about me to warn me of drinking a bug, because he knows how much I hate bugs. A couple weeks later, the same thing happened again. I got up to pray, almost took a drink and the Holy Spirit said, “there’s a bug in your drink!” I immediately went to the sink, pulled the lid off and there floating in my cup was a huge bug. I started dry heaving at the thought of me getting that nasty thing in my mouth. Oh yes, I was praising God, and so thankful the Holy Spirit protected me from that sickness, because I would have been sick for days if I had got that thing in my mouth. The lessons I learned from this; always have a lid that closes, and the Lord cares about everything that concerns us!
